Requirements:

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering (will consider other engineering disciplines with relevant experience)
  • 10+ years of relevant Engineering experience. - 2+ years experience in an Aerospace environment.
  • Demonstrated competence in electromechanical systems including DC powered actuators, electronics modules (with software) and sensors.
  • Demonstrated experience in integration of electro-mechanical systems.
  • Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.
  • Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications.
  • Strong English oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with MS-Office Software.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with AIRBUS processes and procedures.
  • RCTA DO-160. - RTCA DO-178B - RTCA DO-254 - CANbus communication systems - EMC/EMI design and mitigation - National Instruments Labview - DOORs - HALT/HASS test methodologies

Travel: Must be willing to travel to Europe in this position. Travel is expected to be less than 25% on average.

Job Duties:

Client is a leading Aerospace manufacturer who will be supplying the Cargo Handling and Aerial Delivery Systems for the AIRBUS A400M - the next generation military transport being developed by AIRBUS Military S.L. Reporting to the Lead Electrical Engineer for the A400M program, this position is responsible for the development and integration of electro-mechanical systems and equipment with significant scope and complexity. The successful candidate will be expected to perform their responsibilities with minimal management input, be able to make decisions and recommendations that are recognized as authoritative and have an important impact on extensive engineering activities. Additionally, the applicant shall demonstrate creativity, foresight, and mature engineering judgment in anticipating and solving equipment electro-mechanical related problems, determining program objectives and requirements, and in developing electrical standards and guides for diverse engineering activities.
