Requirements:

• MS/PhD Chemical/Materials, or related Engineering Field.
• 5+years experience in related discipline beyond MS degree.
• Demonstrated team leadership/project management abilities.
• Significant “Phosphor" material/powder chemistry domain knowledge.
• Six Sigma Black/Green Belt background(or equivalent) a plus.

Job Duties:

·        Conducts Lead LED phosphor development for LED lighting.

·        Own phosphor MGTP for LED Lighting;

·        Support phosphor development activities by directing research at our research center, and other external universities/centers.

·        Work with innovation team to develop unique phosphor blends to address white light LED lighting market needs.

·        Analyze position/performance vs. competitive products. Formulate strategy to ensure our leadership position in phosphors.

·        Technology transfer of phosphor manufacturing from small scale production at research centers to large scale manufacturing.

·        Develop and mentor phosphor process engineers and technicians by providing technical guidance during process optimization and manufacturing scale up.

·        Supervise and maintain phosphor Lab and implement EH&S strategy

·        Provide program management and drive necessary T-reviews, ePDM, etc.

·        Support white LED standard development activities by representing the company in various standard bodies ( CIE, IES, ANSI etc.)
