Requirements:

• BS-ME or equivalent.
• 10 to 20 years experience in the aircraft mechanical component/systems design fields.
• Knowledge and experience with Rotating machinery, Box lubrication, and castings.
• Experience with computer-based engineering analysis tools and CAD systems are a must.
• PRO/ENGINEER modeling experience is required!
• Experience in the direct design of gears and geared systems is a highly desirable.

Job Duties:

The Senior Design Engineer functions as the project engineer for new design activity and is responsible for assigned projects from conception and proposal through to the production and repair and overhaul stages of the project hardware. This highly visible and critical position demands an individual who can apply proven creativity and unique, cost effective approaches to new product design and older product improvement initiatives. The primary product area is aircraft accessory gearing, actuation, and helicopter transmissions and drive systems, as well as other geared systems applications. The successful applicant will have strong people skills and leadership qualities, and be capable of leading a design team in the creation of hardware designs that meet and exceed customer expectations as well as meet challenging manufacturability and cost goals. This person must be able to work effectively in a team environment and accept the role as mentor and leader of less experienced design personnel within the team. Proven technical innovation and effective project management skills are essential.
