• Bachelors Degree in accounting or finance is required. Advanced degree a plus.
• A minimum of 15+ years of solid accounting managerial experience in a manufacturing environment
• Progressive and Stable work history.
• JD Edwards a plus, But Not A Must.
• Business Partner Type.
General Requirements/Job Duties:
Client is seeking a seasoned Senior Level Group Controller that reports directly to the Corporate Controller.
• Ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background in a manufacturing environment with demonstrated knowledge of primary accounting processes and cycles including experience in financial planning, forecasting, costing, budgeting, and analysis.
• Individual must possess excellent communication and process improvement skills as well as the characteristics needed to establish and develop internal business partnerships across all levels of the organization.
• The candidate should have experience managing financials for a facility with annual sales of $200m. Key Candidate Requirements:
• Strong Analytical Skills and Superior Intellect:
• Demonstrated ability to develop improvements in management accounting information in order to improve the decision-making process in a complex manufacturing environment.
• Candidate must be capable of developing sophisticated financial forecasting and planning models using advanced Excel. J.D. Edwards software experience desired, but not mandatory.
• Business Partner: Candidate must have demonstrated track record in their ability to work with all parts of a business to improve performance.
• Must have record of interpreting financial information to identify opportunities to help improve performance and to work closely with all functional areas to help drive performance.
• Leadership/Team Builder: Candidate must have demonstrated ability to build an effective finance team, with an emphasis on a timely and accurate financial reporting, as well as, continuous improvement of management accounting information including product costing.
