About J. Carl Goodman...

Founding Principal/President

From the Midwest, Carl graduated from Eastern Illinois University with his concentration in Labor Relations/Human Resources. After four years in the U.S.A.F., Carl sold pharmaceuticals for two and a half years. He then joined one of the nation’s premier search and recruiting firms. After nearly five very successful years he joined Mobil Corporation (a satisfied client). For nearly 14 years, Carl was with Mobil Corporation as the Chemical Company’s “recruiting guru.” As Manager of Recruiting, Carl managed all salaried recruiting/employment programs (College Relations and Recruiting, Coop/Intern Programs, Experienced Professional Recruiting) for a headquarters, technical center and fifteen plant locations. He was involved in domestic and international employment and staffing. He also worked very closely with colleges and universities throughout the country. Carl was involved in the development and introduction of retention and assimilation programs. Carl became known for his expertise in training both H.R. and operational professionals in interviewing/selection of both entry-level and experienced candidates. He is the Trainer of Trainers.
Carl founded The ISAAC Network, LLC in the autumn of 1994, born by a vision which combined the desire to help organizations to maximize their effectiveness in recruiting, hiring, motivating, retaining and managing people as their most important asset and the trends toward outsourcing this type of activity to expert providers. The firm’s offerings include consulting, competency modeling, interviewer training, outsourced employment/staffing services (total process outsourcing or as-needed services), web-based employee and business surveys, retention programs and an executive/professional search practice. The ISAAC Network, LLC has been honored to have counted among its clients such organizations as Pfizer, BASF, ExxonMobil Corporation, Tenneco, Pactiv, Omnova Solutions, AutoTrader.com, Praxair, Thermo Fisher Scientific and many other fine companies large and small. With offices in the original Rochester, NY area location and new headquarters in Townsend, TN (just south of Knoxville) Carl has been very active in the community in such roles as a church board member, a member of the Higher Education Opportunity Board and Adjunct Faculty Member at St. John Fisher College, The Employer Advisory Board at The University of Rochester, a regular seminar presenter at the University of Rochester’s Simon Graduate School of Management and he is a very much requested guest speaker. Carl is newly involved with the Blount County Chamber of Commerce, the Treasurer for the Trillium Cove Commercial POA and is an advisor to the Townsend, TN Artisan Guild. He is known as a superb employment/career coach and speaker.

Dennis was raised in the Midwest and graduated Columbia College, Chicago, with a BA in Communications. He then pursued a career with the Eastman Kodak Company. Initially, he spent 5 years in their Oakbrook, IL distribution center performing various roles in Product Handling, Finished Goods Accounting, Inventory Planning and Customer Service. Transferring to Kodak in Rochester, NY, Dennis worked as an IT Business Analyst, Supervisor of an IT Electronic Data Interchange group, Business Information Systems Customer Service Manager, and finally Manager Kodak Office Imaging National Accounts Customer Support.
After 22 years with Eastman Kodak, Dennis chose to branch out and grow with The ISAAC Network, LLC. He brings abundant leadership/management skills – including considerable knowledge of effective interviewing and selection, training experience, and a clear understanding of the dynamics of corporate America. Dennis is also an expert systems application professional and has been instrumental in the development of the electronic information exchange and reporting processes for HR that are a point of difference for this firm. He manages the company’s employee survey and analysis functions. His 13+ years human resources experience with The ISAAC Network, LLC working with best-of-class organizations coupled with his data management skills makes him a key asset to the company and clients alike. Dennis is a certified instructor and administrator for DDI’s “Targeted Selection” program and for The ISAAC Network LLC’s "Selecting Excellence” programs.
